1. General Information

Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) entered into force upon publication in the Official Gazette dated April 7, 2016, and numbered 29677. The purpose of the law is to regulate the conditions for processing personal data, the protection of individuals' fundamental rights and freedoms during the processing of personal data, and the obligations of natural and legal persons processing personal data and the procedures and principles they must comply with.

Gezdora As a data controller, we act as a data controller and attach great importance to the protection of personal data. In this context, we take all necessary administrative and technical measures to ensure full compliance with the provisions of the KVKK in our operations.

3. General Principles in the Processing of Personal Data

Gezdora processes personal data in accordance with the following principles:

  • Being connected, limited and proportionate to the purpose for which they are processed
  • Storage for the period stipulated in the relevant legislation or necessary for the purpose for which they are processed

Your personal data may be collected through Gezdora's website, mobile applications, call center, social media accounts, business partners and contracted third-party service providers, either fully or partially by automatic means or non-automatic means provided that it is part of the data recording system.

The main personal data collected are:

  • User Transaction Information: Site and application usage activities, preferences and likes
  • Marketing Information: Campaign, ad interactions and preferences

5. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data is processed by Gezdora for the following purposes:

  • Carrying out membership creation, user account management and customer relations processes

  • Carrying out campaign, advertising, promotion and marketing activities
  • Analyzing, improving and developing user experience
  • Fulfillment of legal obligations
  • Preventing fraud, abuse and illegal transactions

6. Legal Reasons for Collecting and Processing Personal Data

Gezdora processes your personal data based on the legal reasons specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698. These reasons are as follows:

  • Establishment or Performance of the Contract (PDPL Art. 5/2-c):
    Your personal data is processed when it is necessary for the execution and implementation of the contract between you and Gezdora. For example, data required for membership, service provision, and payment transactions are processed in this context.
  • Legitimate Interest (KVKK art. 5/2-f):
    Your personal data is processed in line with Gezdora's legitimate interests, provided that it does not prejudice the fundamental rights and freedoms of the person concerned. This includes, for example, data processing for service quality enhancement, security measures, and fraud prevention.
  • Fulfillment of Legal Obligations (KVKK Art. 5/2-ç):
    In accordance with legal regulations, your personal data may be processed within the scope of Gezdora's legal obligations. These include, for example, accounting, tax, audit, and government requests.
  • Explicit Consent (PDPL Art. 5/1):
    Your explicit consent is obtained for the processing of your personal data, particularly for marketing, advertising, and campaign activities that fall outside of the legal grounds listed above. Explicit consent is given freely, in an informed manner, and for specific purposes.

7. Transfer of Personal Data (Updated)

Gezdora shares your personal data only in the following cases:

  • Our service providers and infrastructure partners: Hosting companies, companies from which we receive software infrastructure services (website, CRM, email infrastructure, etc.), payment infrastructure services
  • Authorized public institutions and organizations: In case of request to fulfill legal obligations

Gezdora will never share your personal data with third parties without permission or for purposes other than those specified. When data transfer is necessary, the necessary agreements and commitments are prepared to ensure that the individuals and organizations receiving the data transfer comply with their KVKK obligations.

8. Storage Period of Personal Data

Your personal data will be stored for the period required for the purposes of processing and for the minimum periods stipulated in relevant legislation. Once the storage period expires, your data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized in accordance with our Personal Data Retention and Destruction Policy.

9. Data Owner's Rights

In accordance with Article 11 of the KVKK, by applying to Gezdora;

  • Learning whether your personal data is being processed
  • Requesting information about it if it has been processed
  • Learning the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose
  • Knowing the third parties to whom it is transferred, either domestically or abroad
  • Request correction if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed
  • Request deletion or destruction in accordance with Article 7 of the KVKK
  • Request notification of third parties to whom these transactions are transferred
  • To object to the emergence of a result to the detriment of the person by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems.
  • To request compensation for damages in case of damages due to unlawful processing.

If the process requires additional costs, a fee may be charged according to the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board.

11. Enforcement and Updates
